Austin Bat Watch

More than 100 people gathered to see North America’s largest bat colony take their nightly flight en masse in Austin, Texas, on Friday, Aug. 17, 2007. Unfortunately, the bats took the night off. Fortunately, the crowd was interesting.

For the most part, television shows have been beholden to the advertisers. Now, the lines aren’t just blurring farther; they’re becoming one in the same.

ABC announced that it’s turning the GEICO Caveman ads into a sitcom called, “Cavemen.” (A name so simple even a….)

Actor, caveman and former Kansas Citian John Lehr features his Geiko spots on his Web site, as well as his cosmetic transformation from actor into character for the ads.
